Your chance to see behind the scenes at Shropshire Archives as part of Heritage Open Days. Visit our conservation workshop, reprographics studio and strongrooms containing over 5 1/2 miles of documents.

With a selection of the wonderful and varied documents in the ‘6000 collection’. Catalogues for this collection, which was formerly held by Shrewsbury Borough Library, have recently been typed up by our team of dedicated volunteers. Documents in the collection are diverse and include gems such as early manorial records, civil war letters and plans of the flax mill in Shrewsbury.

When: Friday 7 September 2pm-3pm

Where: Shropshire Archives

Cost: Free but please contact us to book a space in advance.
