Your chance to see behind the scenes at Shropshire Archives and get a glimpse of the fantastic collections held here .

Your visit will include an introduction to how to use Shropshire Archives as well as seeing the archive stores where over 5 and a half miles (9 kilometres) of records are housed in environmentally controlled conditions. You will also see the work of the conservation and reprographics sections.
The records on display showcase items recently received into the archives. These include 20th century cartoons from a Shrewsbury business, diaries of a First World War trench map maker, and cards used in an elegant 18th century parlour game. You can also find out more about the fabulous photographs of rural Shropshire taken by Ted Picken in the early – mid 20th century.
