Picken photographs

PH/B/34/85/344
The fabulous photographs of Bucknell from the Edward (Ted) Picken collection are now available on our website.
This largely due to the work of volunteer Tony Price who has added descriptions to the catalogue and painstakingly researched the Picken family and provided background to the photographs.
As the photographs are of Bucknell, they are under the reference PH/B/34/85. They reveal much about life in the village during the early – mid 20th century. Many photographs are of buildings in the village set in the beautiful Shropshire scenery, but local people often feature as well.
A quick search for “Picken” finds a good selection. You can then narrow your results to show those with ‘images only’ and browse through over 500 images in the collection.
