Re-create, remember and re-imagine
Over the next month we want to help you unlock the potential of the image collections at Shropshire Archives.

Re-create
See if you can re-create some of the photographs! We’ve followed the lead of the Getty Museum Challenge. Staff have (in their own time) re-created a few of our favourite photographs and challenge you to get involved. Read more on our Re-create: photographs blog post and get ready for some more ideas on our social media.
We’ll also see if we can dig out some old recipes for you to re-create.

Remember
Do any of our photographs spark memories of a particular time? Photographs of Radbrook College featured in a recent blog post, led to several people getting in touch with their memories. If you can add information to a photograph, memories, biographical detail etc we’d love to hear from you. We’ll show you in more detail how you can add information to our catalogue in a future blog post.
We are also helping to keep a record of the local effects of this current crisis to help support future research. Find out more on our your experiences – coronavirus blog post.

Re-Imagine
Archives can inspire you to get creative. We’ve worked with authors, storytellers, artists, poets and even choreographers to re-write and re-imagine.
This image comes from work with schools featured on our Archive Zone website. We’ll showcase more of these inventive collaborations on our blog and social media.
If you’ve used archives in an inventive or unusual way, we’d love to hear from you.
