Due to COVID-19 this event has been postponed from 4 July 2020 to 3 July 2021. The programme will remain the same.

If you have booked a ticket for the 2020 event , you should have been contacted by the Shropshire’s Mayflower Children secretary. If not please contact them.

The Mayflower set sail for America in 1620. Among the passengers were four young children from the More family of Larden Hall, Shropshire. Only one survived to start a new life in America.

This history day will include talks from local historians telling the fascinating story of the banishment of the More children on the Mayflower, the 17th century religious setting and prospects in America.

With visits to More Hall, Shipton Hall and Shipton Parish Church.

Run by the Friends of Shropshire Archives and the Mayflower Children Committee.

When: Saturday 3 July 2021

Where: Shipton Village Hall, TF13 6JX

Cost: £20 including lunch, 10% discount for Friends of Shropshire Archives and Members of Shropshire’s Mayflower Children.
