Visit to Aldenham Park, cancelled
The visit has been cancelled to help reduce social interaction and reduce the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
The Friends of Shropshire Archives are giving you the chance to visit the fascinating Aldenham Park.
Aldenham Park is a Grade II* Palladian house with strong links to Charles I who took refuge from Oliver Cromwell in a priest hole there.
Later, Charles II presented the Acton family with a fine portrait of Charles I, which still hangs in the Saloon to this day.
The Acton family sold the property to the present owners in 1959 and it is now a private family home.
