- Description: This institution was managed by the Oswestry Guardian's Committee who reported to the Public Assistance Committee of the County Council. After the introduction of the Public Assistance Act in 1948, the running of the institution was taken over by a House Committee who reported to the Welfare Committee of the County Council. The function of the institution also changed and it became an old people's home.
