Photographs, prints and watercolours
Shropshire Archives has a fantastic series of photographs, prints, engravings and watercolours.
Finding and using photographs, prints and watercolours
We’ve digitised our photographic and main prints collection and you can view many of these images on the online catalogue. The simplest way to find these is to type a place name in the search bar at the top of the screen and then use the filters at the left to refine your search with the format as ‘photograph’ or ‘painting’.
Alternatively, to bring together all the digitised images, search for a place name in the search bar at the top of the screen and then use the filters at the left to refine your search to show results with ‘images only’.
You’ll see low resolution watermarked images. In some instances you can download high resolution unwatermarked images or alternatively you can request a quote for an image. Click ‘view record’ for the options.
You can use the online catalogue to find other images, for example the wonderful sketch books of Stanley Leighton ref 6805. There will also be other photographs, prints and watercolours that may not be digitised yet. Onsite, we also have a card index for prints, engravings and watercolours.
Information in other places
