Partners and projects
When creating Telford, Shropshire’s new town, Telford Development Corporation amassed a huge photographic collection of nearly 15,000 images. Some of these are digitised online but there are more to be fully catalogued and made available.
The collection provides a unique insight in to the development of Telford and the life of the town in the 1960s and 1970s.
Wrekin Local Studies Forum, in partnership with Shropshire Archive , is developing a Heritage Fund bid to enable us to fully catalogue, digitize and make these pictures available online for everyone interested in Telford’s History.

We have recently helped volunteers research into the history of the production of woollen cloth in Wales and the borders between 1650 and 1850. The volunteers on this project have now added information to their website: http://www.welshplains.cymru/index.asp
