Our service standards introduce you to all aspects of our work, and explain the standards you can expect.

This includes:

  • acquisitioning, accessioning and cataloguing – getting documents into the building and listing them to make them usable
  • preservation and conservation – looking after the physical side of the documents as many are received in a fragile state
  • information services – helping the people who visit in person each year and those who use our website or contact us remotely by email, letter or phone
  • education and life-long learning – our service programme for schools, groups and events
