Reproduction of resources
The low resolution watermarked images on our online catalogue may be downloaded and used freely for personal research. We also allow use of these images on private non-commercial websites without the need for separate permission.
The reproduction of any other resources, including online, requires the permission of Shropshire Archives and, if appropriate, the owner of the material.
Copyright will also need to be cleared before any use or reproduction. It will normally be the responsibility of the individual to clarify this, although Shropshire Archives may be able to advise.
As custodians, we do charge reproduction fees. A list of current fees can be found at shropshire-archives-reproduction-fees.
Shropshire Archives and, if appropriate, the owner of the documents, must receive due acknowledgment in the publication, exhibition, website or programme.
For publications relating to Shropshire, please also provide a copy for our local studies library.
Further specific advice is available for the media on our Publishing Images page.
