Shropshire Archives reopens in a phased way from Wednesday 29 July

Booking computers and microform

We are re-opening in a phased way to stop the spread of COVID-19.

There is currently no access to computers although we do have free WiFi.

There is a single microfilm/fiche reader which is attached to a printer. You must book this in advance and tell us what you want to view. You can do this by emailing [email protected] or using the form below.

Microfilm and fiche reader/printer booking form

  • Date Format: DD slash MM slash YYYY
The reader/printer for microfilm and microfiche can be booked Wednesday - Friday between 10.30am and 1pm.
  • Please register with us to use this machine. You can do this in advance on our website.
  • We will contact you to confirm that your booking has been made. Please note that this is a manual process at the moment so you will not get instant confirmation. Shropshire Archives is only open Wednesday to Friday, so please give as much notice as possible to confirm your booking.
  • We are asking for this as part Test and Trace.
  • What do you want to view?

It will not be possible for you to browse the microfiche and microfilms. Please tell us what you want in advance. If you need any help please email [email protected]

  • If you have a fiche reference, please provide this. Alternatively you can order a batch of fiche eg Shrewsbury General Cemetery Records, parish registers for Ludford.
